Scheduling
Data Integrity
It is important that all data recorded is accurate, complete and consistent. Transit Services Group will conduct procedures to provide assurance that data is correct. Data is recorded and used across multiple systems where information needs to match. Transit Services Group will review all data to ensure it is consistent across applications. Errors will be corrected through this process.
Regular Schedule Editing
Dispatchers are responsible to ensure the integrity of the trip data. At the end of each shift, schedules are reviewed to correct errors.
A manager “scrubs” the schedule on a weekly basis as an additional control.
Match the Timecard to the Dispatch System
It is important that the schedule is edited and then match the data to the timecard. These activities are done together as review of each may answer questions regarding both the timecard and schedule. The drivers will be able to enter notes in the timecard that will explain events that are not normal. The reviewer will have a duel monitor computer system and will have both systems open for review. This simplifies the process where the reviewer can go back and forth between applications to confirm or edit data.
Scheduling and Timecard Application
Transit Services Group will use an online application to assist with scheduling and timecard processing. Tri-Cap managers or supervisors would have access to facilitate the scheduling of all drivers. The application will facilitate all the other functions to improve communication, schedules and timecards. No more spreadsheet schedules and no more calls for start-times.
